Join Jane Appleby for a fun, informative, and interactive demo where she will be “abstracting Ambleside” using various materials and tools. Jane will discuss how to practice linear gestures and how colour can be used to move the eye through a painting, including contrasts and brushwork.

Participants will practice landscape gestures with Sharpies on paper (using clipboards) and be guided to add colour additions with pencil crayons, as well as additions of a brushstroke to canvas.  Jane will demonstrate how movements of colour can bring abstraction into a landscape using acrylic. All materials will be provided.
