Explore the intriguing process of making botanical cyanotypes in this engaging and interactive workshop for ages 12 and up. Cyanotype (also known as sun printing) is a photographic printing technique that produces striking blue and white images using light-sensitive chemicals. Participants will learn how to integrate flowers into the cyanotype process, leading to the creation of captivating botanical prints to take home. No experience is needed.

 


Artist Bio:


Hazel Yuhang Zhang, a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist, brings a diverseThe woman is identified as Hazel Yuhang Zhang, an artist touching a painting. Zhang finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the visual arts program at the University of British Columbia. Her work has been exhibited in such venues as the Hatch Art Gallery and Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver, BC. 

 

Her contributions as a published illustrator appear in SAD MAG and VASALINE. Passionate about sharing artistic technique skills and insights, Zhang has led cyanotype workshops at Squamish Arts, at Slice of Life in Vancouver, and an artist talk at the UBC AHVA Gallery.
