Canadians throw away 3 million tons of plastic waste every year, only 9% is recycled, and most plastics end up in landfills. Using materials that will remain on our planet forever, this workshop offers a meaningful aesthetic intervention: instead of going to the landfill, they will hang in homes to remind us that what we discard does not disappear.

Internationally exhibiting artist Lori Goldberg will show you how you can take your ‘would-be garbage’ and turn it into an amazing one-of-a-kind–fish mobile. All you need is curiosity and some plastic packaging. All ages are welcome (children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult). No experience is needed. All materials are supplied but feel free to bring any packaging you’d like to work with.
