For the Love of Art: Youth Art Exhibition Application

For the Love of Art is an exhibition of youth artwork as part of the Harmony Arts Festival, presented by Odlum Brown Limited. The exhibition will showcase a selection of the North Shore’s emerging art talent under the age of 19. Artwork will be displayed in an outdoor exhibition tent during the Harmony Arts Festival from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 11, 2024. This is a unique opportunity to showcase the work of young artists.

Terms and Conditions
  • Artists must be under the age of 19 at the time of submission to participate.
  • Each artist may submit one (1) piece of art.
  • All artwork must be accompanied by a completed Artist Information form. 
  • Forms can be filled out online with a photo upload or downloaded as a PDF and attached to the artwork when delivered in person. 
  • Artwork without proper identification (name) will not be displayed.
  • Artwork submitted after the application deadline will not be displayed.
  • Artists must reside on the North Shore.
  • Artists have the option to either sell their work or submit it for exhibition only.
  • A starting price of $25 will be applied to all artwork (if for sale) unless the artist specifies a different amount.
  • 100% of proceeds from For the Love of Art sales will go to the artist (in the form of a cheque)
  • All submitted work should be ready for display. Refer to the provided "How to frame your art" guide for instructions on preparing your work for the gallery.
  • Artwork will be mounted on temporary gallery walls in an exhibition tent, remaining on display throughout the festival.
  • The Harmony Arts Festival will promote the exhibition in the festival guide and on the festival website.
  • Once submitted, artwork will remain in the possession of the Harmony Arts Festival until the end of the exhibition.
Art Pickup and Drop-off

  • Artwork can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Artwork must be signed in on the sign-in sheet at the festival headquarters.
  • All artwork must have a name and a corresponding artist information sheet.
     

Pick-up:

  • Artwork must be signed out at Festival Headquarters.
  • Artwork not for sale or not sold must be picked up on Saturday, August 10 between 59 P.M. or Sunday, August 11 between 10 A.M.9 P.M.
  • Artwork sold can be picked up by the buyer on Saturday, August 10 between 59 P.M. or Sunday, August 11 between 10 A.M.9 P.M.
  • Artwork that is not picked up will be held at Festival Headquarters for one week after the festival. After one week, the artwork will be recycled.
