Welcome Message from Mayor and Council

On behalf of our community, it is my pleasure to invite you to the 34th annual Harmony Arts Festival presented by Odlum Brown Limited!

This is a magical time of the year when our gorgeous waterfront in West Vancouver transforms into a vibrant celebration of the arts in its many forms. A true feast for the senses, Harmony Arts brings together residents and visitors to celebrate summer and enjoy a 10-day world-class arts and culture experience with free programming and activities for all ages.

Millennium Park is the heart of the festival, where you will find the energy and excitement of live music at two different stages. The festival will feature more than 50 free concerts in a broad range of music genres. There is also an opportunity to dine al fresco on a delicious variety of food and beverage offerings from local restaurants and food trucks.  Foodies will not want to miss the signature culinary experience, Best of the West, which is back at the Ambleside Pier. The festival’s favourite culinary event will offer the most delicious food and drink pairings from local restaurants and wineries in a competition-style event. Get your tickets early and vote for your favourite!

For the first time ever, the festival this year will feature Himikalas Pam Baker’s latest collection and present a stunning fashion show on the Ambleside Pier. With Squamish, Kwakiutl, Tlingit, and Haida ancestry, the highly accomplished Indigenous fashion designer will transform the pier into a glamorous runway. You can also admire Himikalas Pamela Baker's fashion design journey in an exhibition at the Ferry Building Gallery during the Festival.

Families can enjoy daily events and activities at the Visual Arts Hub in John Lawson Park. There will be daily events, displays, hands-on activities, and a fun space where kids can create their masterpieces at an outdoor studio.

At the Indigenous Artists and Carvers Studio, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) artist Xwalacktun and other talented carvers will delight us with their masterful work and cultural traditions.

Every Harmony Arts season, I am amazed by the artistic talent surrounding us here in West Vancouver. We are proud of our unique and exceptional art market on Argyle Avenue, where you can find one-of-a-kind handmade treasures, including clothing, ceramics, jewelry, painting, and photography while supporting talented local artisans.

My heartfelt thanks go to our generous sponsors, suppliers, and local businesses, and all who have been longtime supporters of our festival. I extend my gratitude to our dedicated volunteers and staff who bring their commitment and high energy to help make the festival a huge success.

Our vision is to make West Vancouver a liveable, vibrant, and inclusive community. In this spirit, we encourage you to join us and bring your neighbours, family, and friends. This celebration is for everyone!

I look forward to seeing you on the waterfront at the Harmony Arts Festival!
