Born in a tent and raised on the ancestral lands of the Kluane First Nation people in Canada’s Yukon Territory, Diyet brings a musical presence as diverse as her heritage. With roots in Southern Tutchone, Tlingit, Japanese, and Scottish cultures, her music reflects a rich tapestry of traditions and adventurous spirit.

A Journey Through Music: Diyet's musical journey began singing on the school bus, leading her to acquire a degree in music and become a published songwriter in Vancouver, BC. Drawn back to her northern roots, she returned to her village of 90 people, where her career blossomed with international collaborations and extensive touring.

The Love Soldiers Sound: Diyet & The Love Soldiers blend alternative country, folk, roots, and traditional music with catchy melodies and stories deeply rooted in Indigenous worldview and northern life. Singing in both English and Southern Tutchone, Diyet's vocals, accompanied by husband and collaborator Robert van Lieshout and Juno Award-winning producer Bob Hamilton, create a captivating sound that transcends genres.
